Unfriendly Hairstylist

I went in to get my hair trimmed and my bangs cut. I had noticed that I had a significant amount of dry, damaged hair, so I wanted to get that cut to improve the health of my hair. I had also stated to the stylist that I had attempted to cut my own bangs a few months back, but that they did not look quite right. I gave her clear instruction to give me "U-Shaped" bangs, to cut my hair in point cuts (as I do not like the blunt/straight across cutting), and to only take about one to two inches off of my hair. The stylist greeted me as though she were exhausted or eager to finish the haircut and leave. I didn't get a very friendly vibe from her at first, but I shrugged it off because I know that any job can get exhausting. When I sat down and told her the way in which I wanted my hair, she looked at my self-cut bangs and laughed, which I felt slightly offended by. (I tried my best when cutting them the first time.) Then, she told me that my hair was so badly damaged and uneven, that she would need to take a lot more than one inch. The way she stated this made me feel bad about the appearence of my hair, and I began to feel uncomfortable with the stylist. She asked if I use a flat iron, and I told her that I used one daily. She made the remark that, "Well, you wouldn't put your hand in a hot oven would you? So, why would you do that to your hair?" and then proceeded to laugh. She cut off several more inches than I would have liked, and I felt upset that my hair was so short. Before the cut, my hair was down to my breasts, afterward, it was at shoulder length. When she cut my bangs, she did them perfectly at first, but then proceeded to make uneccesary cuts the ruined it all together. Now, I have very short hair and my bangs are way above my eyebrows. They are nowhere near U-Shaped, and they look way too short. I have to go back to using headbands to keep them back until they grow out again. As I was leaving my visit, she asked if I would like to purchase some heat protectant for my hair. I could not afford it at that time, so I declined and said I would look elsewhere or come back at a later time. She then acted extremely distant and almost as if she were upset that I didn't buy the product. I left feeling extremely bad about my appearance with the new hair cut. Hopefully when my hair grows out again I will be placed with a different stylist!
